How do I make sure that my bales are as dense and as heavy as possible?
Emptying your baler first thing in the morning is a helpful tip. A baler that uses overnight compacting will use pneumatic technology to gradually remove any residual air without requiring additional energy. Pneumatic machines are the only ones that use this low energy, continuous pressure technology.
Who collects my cardboard and plastic bales?

What is the difference between a standard and a HD model?
The size and carbon footprint of the HD (Heavy Duty) and Standard are comparable, but the HD can handle larger volumes and create denser bales. It’s important to know how much cardboard or plastic garbage you produce each day, approximately. Can I bale cardboard and plastic in the same machine?
Yes, you can. However, we do not advise doing both at the same time for obvious reasons. Mil-tek also offers a Plastic Bag Stand that lets you store plastic in an organised manner while constructing a cardboard bale, or vice versa, if you have a consistent mixture of both. When you’re prepared, you can proceed to create a plastic bag.

Can I place a Mil-tek X-Press Compactor inside my kitchen where food is being prepared?
Yes, you can. Because the Mil-tek X-Press is air-powered, there is no chance of oil contamination and it operates in an incredibly quiet manner. Talk to your Mil-tek consultant about any potential local laws or regulations on this matter; they can advise you on what is feasible.
How will this affect my existing bins and waste containers?

What is the difference in the various XP compactor models?

What is the function of the Mil-tek EPS compactor exactly?
About 98% of EPS6 is made of air. The polystyrene is finely ground by the Mil-tek EPS compactor. After that, they are heated to eliminate the air and drastically shrink in size. After that, the EPS is crushed into manageable, dense briquettes.

What kind of polystyrene can I shred?

How do I decide between an EPS1000 Polystyrene Compactor and an EPS2000?
A Mil-Tek specialist will help you decide on this. The EPS2000 Polystyrene Compactor is made to run continuously throughout the day and handle larger volumes of EPS than the EPS1000 Polystyrene Compactor. The two machines differ in size and carbon footprint.
